As the performer tells the story, he has a spectator write his name on the top card in the space at the bottom of the cross. Once the card is removed from the packed and placed face down on the table, he has the spectator write his name on the back of the card. When the card is turned over, the spectator is surprised to find the words "He Dies For You" printed over the cross.
