A note of thanks to you! I thoroughly appreciate you and Linda! I received Memento on Thursday and worked with it over the weekend - thank you for getting it out so quickly. The Max Maven/Eugene Burger DVD arrived today - I'll soon head home with hope of watching a little of it.

I stopped by the new store location today. I was very happy to see that The Cuckoos Nest is still going strong. The new place looks great.

I wanted to mention that the magician working there helped to make it a great visit. He was friendly, enthusiastic, geniune, and it was obvious that he really loves magic.

Theres nothing like shopping in an actual magic store and The Cuckoos Nest never disappoints. Of all the magic stores I've visited around the country, its still one of the very best.

THE CUCKOO'S NEST
While we were vacationing in Pittsburgh - it happened - we stopped off at The Cuckoo's NestMagic Shop. We were met with a warm welcome by Linda and Tom Peiritsh, who own the shop. Their shop may look small from the street but don't let that fool you.
Inside, you'll find all sorts of magical odds and ends for all sorts of magical travelers.
Linda gave us a tour of the shop and one of their demonstrators,
TJ, showed off one of their best selling products.
I recommend visiting the Cuckoo's Nest . . . even if you aren't vacationing in Pittsburgh.

I love the Cuckoo's Nest! I travel a lot, and most other magic shops just are not the same. Some shops are very big, but not very social . The Cuckoo's Nest has a "hometown feeling" that you can't create. It just evolved over the years.

Some shops call themselves magic shops and 80% of the inventory is novelties, gifts, and cards. The Cuckoo's Nest is always jam-packed with magic. If its being advertised in Genii or Magic Magazine, its usually on the shelf at "the nest".

Many magic shops are very commercially oriented. I can remember one "salesman" in a major magic shop, in a tourist city, saying anything a little kid wanted to hear just to sell him anything -- when it was obvious to me that the magic was way beyond his grasp and needs. In the 19 years I've shopped at the Cuckoo's Nest, I've never seen these tactics at use. And I'm positive I never will.

I've always been impressed with the owners' ability to steer customers to the best books and effects for their needs, whether the customers were seasoned pros or kids wanting a trick or two for a school talent show. Hi ; I was in your shop for the first time last wk. It is a great shop, The last time I was in a shop like yours was the late Jim Swoger. I did get some nice stuff from you.
