The ideas and design of this deck were created by Theodore L. De Land in the first decade of the 1900s. More than 100 years later, De Land's deck and his other magical inventions continue to fool audiences...and even the most discerning spectator.

Theodore L. De Land Jr. was an engraver from Philadelphia and inventor of trick playing cards and marked decks. In 1919 S.S. Adams Co. struck a deal with De Land and began producing his tricks. Nearly 100 years later, the industry leader, Magic Makers Inc, carries on this legacy in the fraternity of magic...
