A jeweled die is displayed on a table. (Die can be examined. ) The magi takes the die and places it into his hand and closes his fist.

From his pocket he removes a plastic rod and shows both sides of the rod. Although it has holes, it is not jeweled.

He then passes the rod through his fist and to everyone's amazement it suddenly appears to have jewels. Then as he opens his fist, the jewels have vanished from the die!
