In 2004, Allen Zingg discovered a small exotic box. Crafted
from wood with brass-colored metal accents, this box
captured his attention with its air of mystery. Although he
originally thought he would use the box only for billet
work, an original and evocative magic routine popped into
his mind. That first routine, along with several other
billet routines became the Tibetan Wishing Box.

Strange as it may seem, this box has become a focal point
for his thoughts about mystery performing. Moreover, it has
taught him many lessons, and taken his routines to a new
level. This booklet details several routines with the box,
including The Card In Box routine that Zingg calls one of
his most "perfect," routines.

MY COMMENTS:
The book is subtitled "The Three Keys to Performing
Excellence."  Those keys are "The Art of Engagement,"
"Acting -- Naturally," and "Real Magic."  These keys are
indeed essential to achieving performing excellence. 
However, in discussing these very important concepts, Allen
uses mostly magic effects to illustrate his points.  Now,
magicians certainly need this info, but mentalists may
overlook this book because there's no mentalism effects
presented.  Also, most professional mentalists are already
aware, or should be aware, of the importance of these
techniques, even though they may not be aware of the
specific techniques and ideas that Allen presents.  Despite
that, it's a well-written book and recommended.
